Home again, Home again, Jiggety Jig!

There's something so awe inspiring about a new baby.
So beautiful, so vulnerable, so precious....
Ah Olivia, it was such a joy to meet you, to hold you, to kiss you

There's something so awe inspiring to see your child expecting her own child
So beautiful, so vulnerable, so precious
Ah Shannon, it is a joy for me to watch you hold Olivia with great anticipation of holding
your own
There's something so awe inspiring to see your best friend live strong and proud and be a strength for her family
So beautiful, so vulnerable, so precious.
Ah Barb, I love you dearly and what a joy to cherish the times we spend together.

There's something so awe inspiring to watch a toddler grow
So beautiful, so vulnerable so precious.
Ah Miss Jillian, what a joy to watch you blossom and be a big girl now!

We had a wonderful trip despite the ice and snowstorm. Mother Nature threw us a party.
I felt like a teenager at a sleepover!
We laughed and cried and spent good time in our jammies together.
But the best part of all was when Jillian and I were reading books.
She whispered " I wuv you Aunty Cindy"
I whispered "What"? Just to hear it again
She said ~
I wuv you Aunty Cindy"
<3
I wuv you too, all of you!

I am honored!

I received this blog award from two of the absolute nicest people I have ever met!
My life has been forever blessed by meeting them.
Jodi from Creager Studios
And
Marie Segal from Art from my Heart
I can't say enough nice things about these two women!
To think of them both in the same room would be so awesome!
Ok...so now you are both in the same blog room!
~~~Flashes of light, creative genius and talent~~~
Thank you both for the honor.
I love this award!
here's what it is about:
"This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY-nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!”
How nice is that?
Ok, I am to send this on to eight more bloggers.
Hmmmmmmm!
1.Heidi
For being such a good Momma, wife and friend
What a Fun Day!!!
So much excitement packed into one day!
First, I spent the day with my dear friend Nancy, shopping for baby clothes for that soon to be grand son! We were really shopping at a fevered pitch! So much that I had several hot flashes during the SS (Shopping Spree!)
My credit card is still smoking!
I am so happy to see that boy clothes are cute too! :-)
Upon returning home I had TWO packages waiting!
Madame Opal has arrived from Ontario!
She is the first doll that I get to work on during the ADO Traveling Doll Project.
Opal was lovingly made by Jacqui and quite charming! She arrived with a clear crystal ball and a wonderful journal. Now the fun begins for me! Oh what shall I add first? This is really a fun project to be involved in!
Hope I do her justice before passing her on!!!
The next package held the DVD "The World Of Doll Artists"!
I had totally forgotten that I ordered it!
Oh, can't wait to watch it and see artists I have met (Yea Jodi and Richard) and others I have admired from afar. I tend to watch things like this over and over and over! LOL...pretty soon I will be talking to them while seeing their fabulous creations and listening to their stories!
Ok, I took a picture of the last WIP as she is right now. This is the second outfit I have put on her. She wants to hold a birdie and a bird house, but she insisted on a cowgirl look. Since she has changed into this from a more Indian maiden look, me thinks she will be an ever changing piece. She is standing on a table in my entry way.
I need to get out my bowl of pansky eggs for Easter. I was lucky enough to have an artist trade me some pieces for beautiful eggs like these that he hand painted.
I hope she does not try to hatch them!
Stay tuned...she will most certainly change with the seasons since I have decided to keep her!
Hope your day was as fun as mine was!
Sisterhood Award
Michelle and Jodi, two dear bloggers both gave me this award while I've been missing! Yikes! better brush up on my sisterhood skills!!!
Thank you both so much, and I'm sorry that I've been BIB (behind in blogging).
I had a show, and even though I did not do too well sales wise, it was for a great cause and I learned alot.
I love the pocket on this award! So according to the rules, I will pass it on to 5 other artists.
These five just so happen to be people who I wish I could watch from their pocket while they are working! Love their creativity and their art pieces!
1. Tammy at Light and Shadow Studio
2. Shelia at Prim Dolly
3. Caroline at Caroline's Crafts
4. Linda at Linda Smith Originals
5. Treeya at Dare I Dream
Thanks again Michelle and Jodi!
Rock on Sisters!!!
Traveling Art Doll Project
I have a little secret,
As secret as can be
I'm going on a journey
And that fills me with glee!
I'm in a big old hurry
Cause again I'm almost late,
I try so hard to be early,
But tardiness is my fate!
I've donned my pretty lipstick,
Put a feather in my hair.
But tis true, it is quite shocking
The rest of me is Bare!!
I have a little journal.
It's small and somewhat plain,
But when my friends look in it,
They'll think me quite insane.
My new friends I do beg you,
Take pity from the start,
Find something for me to lounge in,
I know you have a heart!
First stop is Paula in Boulder
Colorado is the state
I'm leaving here this morning,
To meet her I can't wait!
Thank you to the artists
Who have made this project fun,
You are so very special
Each and every one!
Oh My Heavens!
I am so excited and honored to receive these two blog awards today!
My greatest thrill comes from the fact that they are from my all time favorite artist
Jodi Creager (and Richard too!)
I am quite sure that I am not deserving of these, but it sure feels swell! :-)
Jodi and Richard never cease to amaze me with their art dolls and miniatures.
If you have never seen their work, please wander over to their website or Jodi's blog.
Besides their artistic talent, they are good friends, excellent teachers and wonderful people.
Ok....
I am to list 5 of my addictions (Oh my, so many to choose from),
and then pass these awards on to 5 more bloggers!
This is so much fun!
I tend to have an addictive personality (Oh the secret's out now!) but these are the 5 I will list:
1.) My children.
I have been addicted to them since the moment I saw them and still am!
I obsess about their welfare all the time even though they hate it. Each one of the three have unique and special personalities and traits and they never read this...but Mom Loves You! I also can't wait for my grandson to arrive! Yea!!!
2.)My friends.
Past and present, near and far, I cherish the times we've spent together and know what blessings you have been in my life.
3.) Polymer clay.
It had me at first squeeze and has never let go. Not only is it an addiction, it has served as a vehicle for me to meet many fine people. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
4.) My pets.
Currently one very large all white Siberian husky and one black very fat cocker spaniel.
They are my private little fan club. And even though they are high maintenance, I wouldn't trade either of you in!
5.) Chocolate, definitely chocolate. Tootsie roll pops seasonally.
Ok, now to pay it forward...
These two bloggers already have the Fabulous blog award, but they have been so helpful to me in by blogquest that I want them to know how much it has meant to me and they need the second award on their site too! :-0
1. Sue at Barton Originals
Sue is a fabulous doll artist from Canada and has been so sharing and supportive! Thank you Sue!
2.) Michelle at The Studio At Crow Haven Farm
Michelle is deep in computer repair right now! Hopefully that will end soon and she will be back on blog track asap. Her art dolls bring smiles and she is so full of energy and life it's amazing!
3.) Susie McMahon
Susie is from Australia and her dolls make me gasp! Love her work!
4.) Robin from Robin's Egg Bleu
Go see her work! Beautiful, and I think we were friends in a past life!
And last but not least
5.) Heidi and Miss Jillian at EeBeeDiaries
This is the place where I keep tabs on my Wi "family". Without this blog I would not get to watch these beautiful babies grow so quickly!!
Thank you Jodisan! I <3 you and thank you for the honor!
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss....a day late!
A person's a person, no matter how small.
-- Dr. Seuss
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
-- Dr. Seuss
And when they played they really played. And when they worked they really worked.
-- Dr. Seuss
And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed.
-- Dr. Seuss
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-- Dr. Seuss
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
-- Dr. Seuss
From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.
-- Dr. Seuss
I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!
-- Dr. Seuss
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.
-- Dr. Seuss
I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful, one hundred percent.
-- Dr. Seuss
I'm sorry to say so but, sadly it's true that bang-ups and hang-ups can happen to you.
-- Dr. Seuss
If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good.
-- Dr. Seuss
So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.
-- Dr. Seuss
Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.
-- Dr. Seuss
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
-- Dr. Seuss
Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the things you can think up if only you try!
-- Dr. Seuss
Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way.
-- Dr. Seuss
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.
-- Dr. Seuss
Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.
-- Dr. Seuss
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.
-- Dr. Seuss
You are you. Now, isn't that pleasant?
-- Dr. Seuss
You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room.
-- Dr. Seuss
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.
-- Dr. Seuss
You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.
-- Dr. Seuss
Young cat, if you keep your eyes open enough, oh, the stuff you would learn! The most wonderful stuff!
-- Dr. Seuss
