A Milestone!

Post # 200
Doesn't seem like many posts for 2 1/2 years,
but considering I started this blog as therapy....
Think of all the money I've saved!
200 visits to a therapist would be a ton!
:-)

Have you met my friend Michelle over at the Studio at Crow Haven Farm?
She is bubbly and talented and oh, so busy! I have never met Michelle, but I think of her as the Blog Energizer Bunny!
She is as giving as she is bunny-ish too.
I am positive I am not the only blogger that has had their life enhanced by meeting Michelle!
(I hear others in the background cheering - Me too!)
Michelle gifted me an award a couple of weeks ago.
This is the Renee Award

The Renee award was created by Bella and Ces in honour of their friend Renee. In Bella's own words "this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it's way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns..."
;-)

I visited Renee first to read her story. Then I visited Bella and Ces.
My life was again enhanced.
Please visit these blogs and share the stories of three tall and sturdy oaks.
It is amazing what can grow from a tiny acorn.

It just so happens that I do know a couple of acorns who have stood there ground in the fiercest of life's storms.
After reading about Renee, I want to give this award to bloggers that I know personally, have met and witnessed their strength against some hefty odds.
So to these lovely, strong women I pass the Renee Award.
I admire your strength, perseverance and
grace with which you live your lives.

And to anyone who has not met these wonderful women...
They are all a little nuts too!
;-)

Ok, I also entered a game on the afore mentioned Michelle's blog.
I won!
:-D
I was one of the first 5 people to leave a comment on her blog post...so I get a prize in the snail mail! (Oh how I love that!)
So
The first five people to leave a comment on this, my #200 post, will also receive a snail mail prize from me!
Here's hoping 5 people comment!

Oh, and on this momentous day of the 200th post...my youngest won a championship with his traveling AAU basketball team.
~~~Beaming Mom~~~
He's the fourth from the left standing.
It was a loooooooooooong weekend for Bleacher butt Moms!
Happy Week~
Did you know Mother was a Blonde?
What a Silly Goose she is!
Finished at 2:30am the night before the shower. ~Sigh
Goose - paper clay over wood and apoxie sculpt armature.
Mother - Polymer with "stiffened" clothing (sort of like her joints, especially the knees)
Check back tomorrow night for the 200th Oops Blog Post Special!
And his name shall be Carson Lee
Have I mentioned that my first grandchild is expected soon?
:-D
His name shall be Carson Lee.
And we (especially me) are so excited.
Our Wisconsin family visited last week for a shower for Carson.
So did my sister Amy and her son Brian.
There is nothing like a full house to make a full heart.
<3
I captured a few pictures from Heidi's blog since I am ever the camera dunce.
Here is Jillian feeling Carson move!
(Look at all those BIG packages!)
Am not sure who had more fun...Jillian or all of us!
Oh the bubbles! The snacks! The trips to the bathroom for the "big girl now"!
Here is my son in law having an absolute blast at the playground with Miss J.
And Olivia...being adored by me!
This is one kissable baby!
And the hair...
Thank you all for making the long journey to be with us.
It meant more than you can ever know.
Love,
Aunty Cindy
Hope everyone is doing fine.
Pictures of what has been keeping this blogger down to follow shortly (as soon as I get some)
Mother's Goose WIP
Working on a centerpiece for my daughter's Baby Shower.
SHHHH don't tell her, she hardly ever looks on here. :-)
This is Mother's goose.
Mother is in the oven.
(Oh my, that sounds like a Fairy Tale from the brothers Grimm!)
This is my first real try with paper clay.
Paper clay over wood, wire, and apoxie sculpt armature.
Paper clay bonnet and blanket for Mother to sit on.
Acrylic paints.
Seems sometimes I have a hard time "Gettingaroundtoit".
This DVD was something I wanted to sit down and watch as soon as it arrived.
TODAY was the day when I had time to shut myself in my studio and watch it.
I am so glad I did.
This is beautifully done (with the exception of spelling Creager wrong in one spot!).
It's like having coffee and donuts with the artists!
I am reserving the right to play this anytime I am questioning myself.
When I think....who will ever like, want, buy this piece, I will remember what was said here.
I don't want to spoil the DVD for those of you who are Gettingaroundtoit!
So I will just say this, from the mouths of masters...do what you love, have fun doing it and be as gracious in sharing your experiences with others as these artists are.
It's what makes the World of Doll Art special!
Have a nice weekend.
